Marriage at St John's Church

The beautiful sandstone St John's church, with its spacious grounds, makes a lovely venue for a wedding. The traditional Gothic style suits a traditional wedding, though of course, we have many kinds of weddings here.

Marriages are celebrated by the Rector, though others can be involved in many ways in the service. Although we must use the orders of service approved for use in the Anglican Church in Australia, there are still many ways to make the service special and uniquely right for you.

We can also provide refreshments in the Parish Ministry Centre, which is behind the chuch, after the service. This can go from a simple afternoon tea for people between the service and the reception, to more elaborate catering. The Catering Team will work with you on meeting your requirements and working out a budget with you.

Our beautiful old pipe organ provides a fitting sound for this old church, but many couples compliment the organ with different music, both from CDs and soloists.
