RIVERGUM Theatre and Dinner Groups

picture from play

We started this group a few years ago and have established a small pool of performers and technicians and an experienced resident director. At the moment we find that we can only manage one production a year..this year it was a delightful Irish comedy, with a 'message', called "A Little like Paradise" by Niall Williams.(Pictures on this page: Tegan Frost, Judith Schofield and Howard Rawlinson in rehearsal for "A Little Like Paradise".

We have performed an "Old Time Music Hall" full of comedy, songs and dances, sketches and a melodrama complete with hissing and booing!

You do NOT need to be a member of St. Johns Parish to join in these activities. Watch this site for updates on auditions and castings.

RIVERGUM Fund Raising Dinner Group.

This group was founded as a money raising venture to help pay for repairs to our historic Walker Pipe Organ.

As we have an excellent facility in our Parish Ministry Centre, with it's professionally equipped kitchen and it's willing team of skilled helpers we have been able to set a high standard of cooking, service and decor. We have also been fortunate to develop a good working relationship with Bruce Tyrrell, of Tyrrell's Vineyards, and have also had support from local food suppliers.

We can accommodate 60 people comfortably in the air conditioned PMC and usually offer some form of entertainment to accompany the dinner. The menus are selected from a wide variety of cultures and each course is accompanied by appropriately selected wine and music.
No dinner is planned at this time.
