About Us

St. John the Evangelist Anglican Church has been serving the parish of Raymond Terrace for over 150 years. We are an Anglican (Church of England) church in the catholic tradition of classical Anglicanism.

We hold to the sacramental approach to life, celebrating God’s grace in becoming one of us and living amongst us.

As Anglicans we hold to the historic creeds of the church, the authority of scripture and the threefold order of ministry – bishops, priests and deacons.

Our thriving Anglican community lives and works at the heart of Raymond Terrace and surrounds. We are always looking for the kingdom to break in, to build connections with the people of Raymond Terrace area and offer a place of sanctuary, healing and hope where all are welcome.
