The Anglican Communion

The Anglican Communion Office, is the secretariat for the Instruments of Communion. It serves the Anglican Consultative Council, the Primates' Meetings and the Lambeth Conference, as well as the many commissions, committees and other groups, expressing our unity in faith.

Anglican Church Australia

The Church of England is governed by the Archbishops of Canterbury and York and 106 other bishops. They provide guidance and direction to the churches across the country and make decisions on the Church in society. We have inherited this faith we profess in our independent national church

Anglican Church Newcastle

Anglican Church Newcastle is our local Anglican Church in the Central Coast, Hunter, Newcastle, Lake Macquarie, Manning, Paterson and Port Stephens regions. Our Diocese is one of 23 that make up the Anglican Church of Australia.

Newcastle Cathedral

The 1st church was erected in 1817. There was no resident clergyman, it was a Government building. In August 1818 at a service led by The Rev’d William Cowper, Governor Macquarie named it Christ Church. The Cathedral was repaired and renewed after the earthquake.

Mothers Union Australia

For all 4 million members what Mothers' Union provides is a network through which they can serve Christ in their own community - through prayer, financial support and actively working at the grassroots level in programmes that meet local needs.

Mothers Union Newcastle

Anglican Mothers Union Australia is an active part of the Diocese of Newcastle, and most parishes, including Raymond Terrace, have an active branch supporting family life, and parish life, through prayer, meetings, action, and fellowship.

Anglican Women Newcastle unites women across the Diocese. We seek to help in Prayer and Worship, Learning, Fellowship with all women in the Diocese and beyond and Giving especially with Anglican Women Newcastle Thank You boxes

Cursillo Newcastle

Each of our Bishops, since then, has encouraged Cursillo Newcastle. The Cursillo theme:- “Make a friend, Be a friend. Bring your friend gently to Jesus” sums up our experience of Cursillo and of how it has helped us.

Kairos Prison Ministry Australia is an interdenominational Christian ministry reaching out to incarcerated individuals, their families & those who work with them; to bring sustainable meaning & hope in the place of loneliness, isolation & despair.
